NHS 111 service
Call 111 when it's less urgent than 999
NHS 111 is a new service that's being introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services in England. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
You can also use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk). 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Out-of-Hours Services
If you need a doctor after the surgery is closed, ring the surgery number and you will be transferred automatically to Staffordshire Doctors Urgent Care. Please have the patient's name, address, telephone number and a description of the problem ready when you ring. You may be asked to attend the Leek Moorlands Hospital on Ashbourne Road, Leek or a centre in Stoke; have a pen or paper ready to write down the details.
If you feel your emergency is serious, ie severe bleeding, chest pain suggesting a heart attack or severe shortness of breath, ring 999 and request an ambulance. If you suspect a broken bone or need stitches make your own way directly to the hospital.
