Pharmacy First is a scheme available from participating pharmacies for patients who are suffering from a common ailment and DO NOT pay for their prescriptions (exempt patients, children and those with pre-payment certificates).
Patients can get advice and treatment for a range of common ailments free of charge from participating pharmacies and no appointment is necessary.

What do I need to take to the pharmacy?
You will need to take the following information with you
- Confirmation of registration with your GP practice
- Evidence of exemption from prescription charges
- Your NHS number if known
